Designing UI where emotion meets constraint

Emota was created during the Global Game Jam 2024, a fast-paced, high-pressure environment where teams have just days to concept, build, and ship a playable game. The project’s theme centered on emotional restoration and identity, and I was responsible for designing and implementing the main menu experience, the first interaction players have with the game. This meant balancing emotional tone, usability, and technical feasibility, all while learning Unreal Engine’s UI systems hands-on.
